"a delightfully paranoid little nightmare that is both more chillingly realistic and pointedly absurd than anything John Grisham ever dreamed up." -New York Times

THE THUGS
BY ADAM BOCK

What Could a New Temp Have to Fear?

Part quirky comedy of contemporary anxiety, part drama of workplace paranoia, The Thugs satirizes the hellish details of office life. A group of temps is working in an isolated room on the 9th floor of a downtown law firm. People in the building are dying, disappearing, perhaps being murdered- or maybe they just didn’t come in today. Will the temps unlock the secrets that lurk in the hidden crevices of their workplace, or is fearing the unknown just the safest way to avoid what’s in front of their eyes….

The Thugs received its critically acclaimed 2006 world premiere at the Soho Rep in New York, winning an OBIE Award for outstanding playwriting. Playwright Adam Bock followed The Thugs with a second “office play” in 2007, The Receptionist, which will receive its local premiere in December at Trinity Rep.

Running time, 1 hour.
Performances will be followed by an Office Party themed Reception with the actors in the Gallery.

October 31-November 30, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00, with Sunday matinees at 3:00 on November 23 and 30.
